HASEEB IQBAL

Haseeb Iqbal (UK) is a London-based DJ, radio host and writer who has quickly built a reputation as a highly skilled selector both through his energetic presence in the DJ booth, but also through his eclectic former radio show on Giles Peterson's Worldwide FM, a show he now broadcasts on an almost weekly basis on his own website.

His unique approach to spreading his love for music and DJ-ing has taken him to everything from We Out Here and London Jazz Festival in London to well-regarded sets at Kala Festival in Albania and Paloma in Berlin - as well as a number of sold-out nights under his own Studio Crumb-nights in his hometown.

Through an insatiable urge to discover new music, he has amassed a huge collection of records ranging from powerful roots and dub to groovy jazz, but where bouncy Brazilian elements and synth-driven Pakistani pop gems quickly make their presence felt on the same night.

During his stay in Trondheim where he played at our venue, we took him to Storfossen for an interview about his relationship to sound, music’s link to nature and being independent as an artist.
